Hantu Jepun – one of the many mysterious military spirits

Paranormal researcher Arwin John's take on spirits is that spirits emit electromagnetic waves that could be detected with specially designed instruments.
A firm believer in science, and a brave man, Arwin who is the founder of Malaysian Paranormal Research, tells Yahoo! Malaysia of his own encounter with the spiritual kind at a Chinese cemetery in Gunung Rapat. During an investigation in the middle of the night, he saw a little girl who vanished into thin air once he realised she wasn't human.
He now works with an affiliate in Germany, studying the phenomenon on how spirits exist and how he and the team could make contact with the afterlife.
"We find that when spirits die, some times they are still anchored to their physical memory," he explained, which is a likely explanation of one of the more famous ghosts in Malaysia, the spirit of Japanese soldiers.
Ghost of the Japanese past
The ghost of the Japanese soldier or Hantu Jepun refers to wandering spirits of dead Japan military personnel, who was once stationed in Malaysia, and around the Southeast Asian region during World War 2.
These spirits are often seen wandering in full uniform, bearing arms or swords, or in a more terrifying state - walking around headless or carrying its head. The spirits tend to appear in buildings, cemeteries and hostels which were once used as Japanese bases.
At times, sightings of the Hantu Jepun are described as scenes of Japanese soldiers lining up in formation or marching to attention.
This explains the sounds of marching boots in most, if not all of the Hantu Jepun stories shared by the Malaysian community as well as those who encounter the spirits all across Southeast Asia.
Some people believe that the appearance of this ghost evokes feelings of loneliness, death, cruelty, torment and fear
Old sites and sounds
Colonial buildings are common places where the spirits of Japanese soldiers roam.
Take the Malay College Kuala Kangsar in Perak as an example. The school is known to be a former site of Japanese occupation. A marching platoon could be heard in the field and sounds of dragging chains across the corridors.
These old sites are known to be places for executions, where Japanese soldiers behead their prisoners.
Other institutions that are known to have experienced ghostly encounters of the Hantu Jepun are Victoria Institution and former Bukit Bintang Girls School, now the site of popular Pavillion shopping mall, on along Jalan Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur.
And in Singapore, a well-known university was known to have put up signs to warn its students of ghosts of Japanese soldiers, marching throughout corridors and turning lights on and off in different classrooms or halls.
Military in nature
A marine called Albert F, shared his experience at the Clark Marine Base, on how he came across what he thought was the ghost of a Japanese soldier.
He wrote that he was patrolling alone at a section of the weapons storage areas and saw a human-like figure standing by a utility pole. Albert said he knew no one else was on duty that night and called his based to confirm that.
"They said none - I was the only one in the area. I called back and announced I have an intruder in the area. I started to move on the intruder.
"When I yelled out for the intruder to stop, the person came out entirely from the side of the utility pole and started heading away from me, not really running, but he seemed to be floating away from me," he wrote.
Albert shot a signal flare to shed light on the open field to see his intruder, but he saw nothing. The person had disappeared.
Wandering soldiers
E. Kho, 35-year-old sales manager shared her experiences with Yahoo! Malaysia, describing how she came across spirits of the military kind.
They were not Japanese soldiers, but they were the navy crew that died on the Cheonan Ship in 2009. The 1,200-tonne ship capsized after a mysterious explosion caused it to sink.
"I was in Seoul the day the government organised a memorial service for the officers and soldiers that died in the accident.
"I could feel their presence and even see some of them in full uniform, wandering around.
"It was a sad moment, because I could sense that these spirits did not even know they have died and were wandering restlessly outside Seoul City Hall," she recalled.

At approximately 4mins 20seconds, the group of teenagers stopped to pick up a stranger on the road, that’s when the strange chain of events started acting up.During that short ride after Teresa boarded the car, she actually told them she was killed in an accident 2 years ago but they didn’t believe her. Thereafter she pointed to the exact spot where she claimed she was killed before reverting to her true form.
Some bizarre facts:
- 2 years before the real victims of this accident met this spirit, there were actual police records, which depict another fatal accident, involved this girl by the name of Teresa Fidalgo back in 1983.
- Although this video was only a re-enactment of the actual accident, for some unexplained reason, the frames somehow ‘jumped’ and went out of focus whenever the camera was focused on the girl who played Teresa’s role in that actual accident. Also notice that when the girl who played Teresa pointed to the road ahead, that particular street lamp directly above was put out.
- In the actual accident, police authorities found a DV camera recording, which is 13-14 minutes long, which shows what had actually taken place before the accident.
- In the actual investigations, the police later released that the car crash had never hit anything it just flipped over without any actual explanation and coincidentally that very same street lamp, which was taken out during this re-enactment. :freakedout:

A spooky Ghost guest at a wedding party
THIS picture shows the presence of an unexpected wedding guest while a pair of newlyweds enjoy their first dance.
Jordan Martin, 12, caught the blurry figure as the couple danced at their wedding reception at Tewkesbury Rugby Club, Gloucester.
He was speechless when he flicked through his snaps and saw the haunting image of a woman’s head and torso floating inches from the ground near the DJ booth.
He said: "I didn’t see the ghost until a couple of days later when I was looking at the pictures on the computer. I thought it was really weird because it really looks like there’s a ghost in the picture.?"
The picture was taken as newlyweds Nigel and Helen Davis took to the floor for the first dance after their wedding at Gloucester Register Office on May 31 2008
His mum Ann, of Northway, Gloucester doesn’t believe in ghosts but cannot explain the figure's strange appearance.
She said: "it was a shock when I saw the picture. It looks pretty clear to me and it looks so real. Jordan is quite excited about it. It’s a bit weird.?"

EVP Ghost voices
Ghost logic discovered, we are now one more step closer to paranormal...
Ghost could be explained by science, they called it brain electric wave left by human after died, we could see them when our brain electric wave frequency same with the spirit brain electric wave frequency. do you watch the EVP ( electronic voice phenomena ) news yet? we can listen to ghost voice through that way, i have a very senseless question, why they never talk like us (craping...)? why what we listen only some meaning word? spirit expressing with brain electric wave , they could read our mind by knowing our brain electric wave frequency, they saw us.
When we accept the logic above, i treasured another interest logic. when we fear, our brain electric wave will weaker. when we are weaker then ghost brain electric wave, we losed. and they could possessed us by using their brain electric wave to our brain. when we saw them talk to us, or we cant move, or having illusion, that was their brain electric wave ability, because what they left now only brain electric wave without fleshed. they are still suffering from the pain of death, because their brain electric wave cannot change or update anymore after they died, because they had no brain to work it. we still able to change and update, and the only things we think is about our fleshed, how we going to be more muchle or more comfortable.there is some psycical people, rarely existance in this world, who train their brain electric wave, do you saw ppl curved a spoon by only look at the spoon? those ppl already forgot their flesh existance, like a spirit do.
if we exchange science to religion about logic above, brain electric wave i consider it strengh of spirit.
why vengeful spirit able to harm human directly? the brain electric wave they left at this world are full with hate, our brain electric wave increase when we hate, angry or happy too, decrease when we fear, and our brain electric wave frequency messed when we sad. change all the 'brain electric wave' to 'strengh of spirit' in current paragrave if you still dont understand.

Real ghost recently sighted and mysteriously caught on a 4-channel CCTV ( with actual digital time recording ). This happened in a hotel's elevator, Singapore! Watch closely the light that appears behind the guy's back in the elevator and then the emergence of a figure. You can make your own judgment whether it is fake or an incredible, scary, rare sighting.

Something strange in the mirror...ghost...???
This happens when the little girl's father was filming her combing her hair in the mirror.
Take a close look at the right hand side mirror.....................For the people who dont get it, when she turned her face around, the face in the mirror was in the same position staring at the baby

The right mirror has been altered somehow, the wall isn't reflected how it is in the middle mirror. It's possible they could be twins, because if you pause it on 4 seconds for example, you'll see their facial expressions are a bit different in the right and middle mirror, it wouldnt have been impossible to have her twin standing there copying her movements. That's just an idea, but I can't say this is real.

ok now this is sooo fake and im sure it's super easy to do with a good video editor. the mirror is in 3 pieces making this video so suspicious. and much easier to pull off the fraud. you just have to isolate the 3rd mirror panel and slow it down to appear as a ghost is looking back at the girl.and perhaps touch it up some . not so fantastic really.but a little creepy anyhow.
